Robert currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for the Content Marketing Institute and is also a Senior Contributing Analyst for the Digital Clarity Group.
He’s worked directly with such companies as Dell, SAP, Staples, Petco, KPMG, 3M, Adobe and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation – helping all of them with developing smart and creative content marketing strategies.
Together with Joe Pulizzi, Robert wrote the book Managing Content Marketing which spent two weeks as the number one Marketing book on Amazon. He was also a contributing Author to Enterprise 2.0: How Technology, eCommerce, and Web 2.0 Are Transforming Business Virtually. Robert is also a featured writer and speaker at technology and marketing events around the world.
An early Internet pioneer, Robert has more than 20 years of experience, and a track record of helping brands and businesses develop successful Web and content marketing strategies.
Robert started his marketing career in cable television, working for Showtime Networks. As an Associate Partner with USWebCKS/marchFirst, Robert worked in the Entertainment and Media Practice on strategic online initiatives for numerous startups, as well as established clients. In 2001, as Vice President, Strategic Planning for Ignited Minds, Robert advised numerous diverse clients such as the U.S. Army, Activision and Intuit.
From 2002 to 2009, Rose served as Vice President, Marketing and Strategy for CrownPeak; a software-as-a-service company focused on Web content solutions for online marketers.
